Subject: Thirty-Nine Years Ago Today?

Wow. Time is passing quickly now in my late-50s. Me and a buddy somehow made it to this one-off, ate some Sluggo blotter, and had an epic time. My memory ain't so clear on this one, but we somehow got back to Santa Cruz where there was a classic car show going on, and we just waltzed around shit-grin happy, and finally crashed under the cover of a catamaran. Oh to be young and attuned to the GD Circus. Thanks, Jerry!
PS: I believe this is the last electric Deep Elem???

Subject: fantastic show and sound

top rate fob sound that improves early in first set; wasnt wowed by look of 2nd set -- but an exceedingly brilliant quality to the playing, energy and creativity the entire set 2. china cat>rider, truckin and ujb rule; brokedown show closer adds to unique element of show.

I have the SBD of the first set, but for the second set, this IS the AUD, nice recording! Ship of Fools almost feels like a SBD! Sweet!

Subject: To aud, or not to aud.

I have to say I typically hate audience tapes. However, this audience version is so clean that it's the closest soundboard quality I've heard yet. 5 stars for sound quality.

Just came back from watching dirt track racing at Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds(aka Watsonville Speedway)and put this on when I got home and the magic began!!This is a special show all the way through played in a magical place...Please Enjoy
P.S.the high treble mellows out a bit after the Alabama or you just get used to it I guess-either way this show is a true gem:-))

This was my 1st CA show after being on the East Coast and after 2 years in Japan - Thought it was awesome. Drove from San Diego and was not disappointed.

i think some of these reviewers are still at the show....i just downloaded the first song and i have to say it sounds like a 10 year old cassette that has been sitting in the hot sun....pretty much terrible quality...wouldn't bother with it

Subject: Great Show

It was a sunny day, they played in a baseball field if I remember. I had just seen them in Ventura, and this was a wonderful show, prehaps even stronger. I brought a friend of mine and he was more impressed with Bobby than Jerry. Bobby played very well that day. Cd quality is great. This is one you want.

Subject: GD Picinic

This was a sunny day in Santa Cruz mountains. This had a big family picnic feel to it. My first show (of many).

I don't know if it was the roses, but the sky was yellow and the sun was blue. The highlights of the show were Birdsong, Uncle John's Band and Brokedown Palace.
